Hello, I am 35-year-old man who lives in Gympie. I am looking for a relief support worker to cover shifts on a weekly basis as part of my support team. There will be approximately 10 hours a week available filling in gaps in the roster (with the possibility of more hours in the future for the right person). This role is well suited to a support worker looking to add extra hours to their weekly schedule. You will assist me with personal care and need to be fit, healthy and energetic. You must have excellent communication skills and a willingness to listen, learn and take direction from someone with a disability in a professional and respectful manner.
*No prior knowledge of disability support is required as all training will be provided*
**The Role**:
- Provide personal care in the mornings to get ready for the day
- Provide personal care in the evenings to have dinner and prepare for bed
**Relief Shifts**:
- Saturday & Sundays 9am - 4pm
- Saturday & Sundays 4pm - 8pm
- Monday Evenings 4pm - 8pm
- Friday Evenings 4pm - 8pm
- Flexibility / Availability to pick up shifts at other times throughout the week
**Pay Rates**:
- Training Shifts - $30 per hour
- Level 1 Start - $40 per hour
- Saturdays - $50 per hour
- Sundays - $60 per hour
- Rates may be negotiable relative to experience and qualifications
**Essential Requirements**:
- Current Open Queensland Drivers License
- Yellow Card / NDIS Workers Screening (Or willing to obtain)
- Current First Aid Certificate & CPR
- NDIS Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- COVID Vaccinated preferred
- Live within reasonable travelling distance
- Working rights in Australia
- Flexibility to pick up additional hours when needed
