Engineering Intern
Program Location: Perth, Australia
Program Dates: 23November2026 – 19February2027 (full‐time, Monday to Friday, with the week of 28December off)
Program Overview
The Intern program provides students with 12 weeks of paid employment, giving you the opportunity to participate in industry‐leading oil and gas developments while acquiring practical skills relevant to your field of study. This internship will help cultivate your professional skills within a diverse, inclusive, supportive, and collaborative workplace.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside specialist engineers on technical issues impacting LNG plant performance and availability.
* Collect and analyze data to support offshore and onshore assets operated by Chevron.
* Examine real‐world technical issues and use Chevron processes and systems to determine commercially viable solutions.
* Assist with analysis to keep world‐class facilities operating optimally.
* For Petroleum Engineering: Evaluate reservoir and well performance, support field operations, monitor and optimise well performance and integrity.
* Manage routine gas production well operations to maintain asset integrity and optimise resource recovery.
* Utilise well condition monitoring and reservoir surveillance data to influence short‐ and long‐term business decisions.
Qualifications
* Eligible to legally work and live in Australia permanently.
* Current enrolment in one of the following engineering disciplines at a tertiary level (any year): Chemical, Civil / Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic.
* Effective communication, strong analytical skills, and a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
* Available for full‐time work Monday to Friday throughout the program duration.
