The Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a trade-qualified Maintenance boilermaker to join the Mount Isa team. Reporting to the Mount Isa Maintenance Team Leader, this position provides a maintenance service to the Mt Isa Operations to ensure the ongoing reliability of the plant.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Providing a responsive service to meet unplanned maintenance requests and scheduled maintenance tasks
* Carrying out maintenance tasks within budget and in compliance with Site Engineering and Maintenance Standards
* Working as part of a team to follow processes and procedures relating to maintenance tasks, safety, quality and environment with a 'do it once, do it right' mindset
* Working closely with the operations team to achieve plant reliability and production targets
* Providing input into improvements for reliability maintenance strategies and working closely with reliability engineers
What you will bring
You have worked within heavy industrial environments as a boilermaker and have exceptional welding skills, along with the qualifications which will enable you to carry out the specialist welding we have onsite.
You will also have:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in MMA, MIG, and TIG
* Welding experience in mining, chemical manufacturing or similar industry
* Proven safety culture and mindset
* Perform work to high quality
* Performing weld repairs in the plant under hot conditions on steam lines, vessels and tanks
* Pressure welding experience
* Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* The ability to self-manage priorities and work in a team environment
Qualifications
Requirements
* Cert III in Metal Fabrication Trade Qualification
* EWP Ticket
* The ability to pass TIG weld testing for carbon steels, stainless steel and SAF in the 6G position prior to being awarded contract
* Ability to obtain Certification No. 7 in Welding within 12 months of successful employment
* HR License
* Bridge and Gantry Crane (CB) License
* Basic Rigging License
* C2 and/or C6 crane ticket
* Experience in using CMMS systems like SAP

The Site
Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
