About the Role
Based in Orange or Dubbo, this full-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the move. You'll travel across Western NSW and interstate, supporting our teams by ensuring drivers and operational staff are trained, competent, and confident. From onboarding to refresher training, plant assessments to safety initiatives you'll be the driving force behind operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
* Training & Competency – Deliver practical training and assessments for drivers and plant operators (e.g. loaders, excavators, skid steers).
* Compliance & Documentation – Keep training records accurate, organised, and audit-ready.
* Onboarding Support – Help new starters hit the ground running safely and confidently.
* Refresher Training – Maintain high standards through ongoing training programs.
* Safety & Risk – Conduct plant risk assessments and assist with incident investigations.
* Training Development – Create and update training packages that are clear, effective, and aligned with industry standards.
* Team Collaboration – Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings, contributing to a positive and proactive team culture.
* Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with internal teams including operations, maintenance, and supervisors.

What You'll Bring
Qualifications & Experience
* Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence (minimum Heavy Rigid)
* Cert IV in Training & Assessment
* Experience driving heavy vehicles
* Waste industry experience (a bonus, not a deal-breaker)

* Strong understanding of NHVR legislation
* Excellent communication and admin skills
* Flexible, adaptable, and calm under pressure
* High customer service standards
* Willingness to travel extensively
