In this position, you will assist and be trained in the clinical management of Haematology and bone marrow transplant inpatient and out-patients.
Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and manage patients with haematologic malignancies, bleeding disorders and bone marrow failure states.
* Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy and blood product, and monitor their safe usage.
* Manage pre and post autologous BMT patients and post allogenic BMT patients.
* Participate in haematology laboratory duties, as relevant to training, including specialized coagulation, morphology, general laboratory, flow cytometry, haemoglobinopathies and stem cell laboratories located at NSW Health Pathology facilities in Hunter.
Requirements:
* Primary undergraduate degree registered with the NSW Medical Board.
* A minimum of 3 years postgraduate hospital experience.
* A minimum of 1 year of postgraduate experience in general or subspecialty internal medicine.
* Demonstrated commitment to the FRACP, FRCPA joint training program, or equivalent.
* A desire to contribute to a team committed to patient care in a mission-based organisation.

This is a fixed-term full-time role for 12 months. The remuneration package includes $55.97 - $70.20 per hour plus superannuation, annual leave loading, salary packaging options and RDOs.
