Vertiv are seeking to add a highly skilled & enthusiastic UPS Field Service Technician to our high performing ANZ team based in Canberra!
You will be responsible for startup and commissioning of Vertiv UPS equipment, field service repairs, maintenance, & technical support to customers both autonomously & in a team. Our Technicians are leaders in the field & have a reputation for providing a high level of customer service by completing service work in an efficient, professional & prompt manner.

On call rotating roster (1wk on: 6wks off + allowance provided on top of salary package) Responsibilities: Carry out commissioning, servicing & fault diagnosis of power products & associated equipment Install and maintain critical power equipment performing in-house and on-site repairs Carry out site inspections, commissioning & testing of critical power systems by creating documentation & submission reports Provide technical assistance & training to staff, Service Contractors & customers where required Provide support for emergency repairs & rostered standby 24/7 (1 week on – 6 weeks off). Perform Start Up & Site Acceptance testing on units & prepare detailed reports on tests carried out Attend customer service calls & ensure on time submission of reports Provide written & verbal service reports to customers Participate in after-hours call-out work please note: some short duration country work is involved Requirements: UPS experience preferred but not essential Demonstrated experience working in servicing & maintaining UPS or associated equipment Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or similar (Degree or Certification) Please note: There will be occasional use of ladders Working in tight & restricted locations Working on & around energized electrical equipment Lifting, carrying, relocating equipment & components such as batteries, tools & spare parts.
