ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to our HR Manager, the Payroll Officer plays an important role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services, while ensuring system reliability, compliance and detailed reporting.
You'll be part of a supportive HR team where your work contributes directly to smooth business operations.
This is a great opportunity for a detail-focused payroll professional who values accuracy and is comfortable managing payroll systems.
This is a part-time position worked over five days per week, with full-time hours on Mondays and Tuesdays and reduced hours Wednesday to Friday.
Your day will include:
* Managing payroll and time management systems to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.
* Processing end-to-end payroll, including all relevant payments and statutory obligations.
* Maintaining employee records such as new hires, terminations, pay adjustments and leave.
* Preparing payroll reconciliations, reports, and financial summaries to support management and compliance.
* Assisting with payroll and finance projects and suggesting improvements to processes.
* Responding to payroll enquiries and producing reports as needed.
ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Minimum 5 Years' experience and running end-to-end payroll of at least 350+ employees.
* Experience in using KeyPay payroll software will be advantageous.
* Experience in processing multi-state payroll and a sound understanding of relevant legislation, awards and taxation.
* Confidence in using and auditing payroll and time management systems.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with HR, Finance, and other internal teams.
* A proactive attitude with a willingness to support improvements in payroll processes.
