The Role
Seeking a Fitter Machinist to join a high-performing maintenance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment and machinery in a supportive and safety-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out machining, fitting, assembly, and repairs of fixed plant and mobile equipment components.
* Operate lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and other workshop machinery to precise tolerances.
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities on pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and crushers.
* Diagnose faults and identify solutions to mechanical issues to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing and repairs.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all work is completed to quality and safety standards.
To be successful for this role you will possess
* Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Fitting and Machining (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade).
* Proven experience in heavy industry, mining, or similar industrial environments.
* Strong machining skills (manual lathes, mills, boring machines, etc.).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* High attention to detail and focus on producing high-quality workmanship.
* Strong commitment to workplace safety and risk management practices.
* Current driver's licence.
