We are seeking a qualified and experienced Remedial Massage Therapist to join Lift Your Soul Head Spa, Darwin's first dedicated head spa. This role supports our expanding wellness services by delivering high-quality remedial massage treatments and contributing to a calming, restorative client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide professional remedial massage treatments tailored to individual client needs
* Offer complementary relaxation services that align with head spa treatments (neck, shoulders, upper back, head, scalp)
* Conduct client assessments and maintain accurate treatment notes
* Create a warm, welcoming, and calming environment for guests
* Recommend treatment plans, stretches, and aftercare advice
* Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and NT Health compliance for all equipment and treatment areas
* Collaborate with the head spa team to support smooth daily operations
* Uphold high standards of customer service and assist with client enquiries when needed
* Contribute to a positive team culture and represent the brand professionally
* (Optional if offering rebates) Process private health insurance claims in line with HICAP requirements
Tasks Include:
* Massaging the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, to assist healing
* Utilising a range of massage techniques to enhance sports performance and prevent injury
* Administering treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension
* Assessing and treating specific soft tissue dysfunction and providing rehabilitation advice
* Employing other techniques, such as acupressure or Shiatsu, and complementary aids, such as infra-red lamps, wet compresses, ice, essential oils and herbal and mineral therapies, to assist recovery
* Assessing client's physical condition and case history and advising on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
* Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52015 or equivalent) or,
* Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Diploma or higher.
* Eligibility for private health insurance provider numbers (or the ability to obtain)
* Strong anatomy and musculoskeletal knowledge
* Excellent communication, client care, and assessment skills
* Ability to manage bookings independently and work efficiently
* High personal and professional hygiene standards
* Calm, gentle, and customer-centred approach suited to a premium spa
Desirable Skills:
* Spa or wellness clinic experience
* Relaxation, lymphatic, or pregnancy massage skills
* Interest in holistic wellness and scalp-focused therapies
* Experience using booking systems (Fresha or similar)
Experience & Skills:
* At least one year of relevant full-time work experience
