That’s why we’re looking for an accomplished Chief Strategy Officer to join our executive team in this newly created, high-impact role.

As Chief Strategy Officer you will be at the forefront of this work - turning vision into reality and building a culture that embraces change, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The role:

In this newly created role, you will lead strategic transformation and champion digital innovation across Gateways. Working closely with the CEO, Board, and executive team, you will design and deliver initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, drive financial sustainability, and elevate service excellence.

As Chief Strategy Officer, you’ll lead Gateways through an exciting period of strategic and digital transformation. In this newly created role, you’ll be accountable for:

Strategic Transformation

* Developing and executing a transformation strategy aligned with our purpose, vision, and financial sustainability goals
* Leading change initiatives to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and innovation
* Overseeing major projects and programs, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, within a risk management framework

Digital Transformation

* Designing and implementing a digital strategy to modernise systems, data, and service models
* Leading our AI strategy and ensuring ethical and effective technology use
* Driving the adoption of digital tools and building digital capability across the organisation

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

* Acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board
* Working as an integral part of the executive
* Leading and developing a high-performing team
* Engaging with stakeholders across government, sector partners, and technology providers, and representing Gateways in the broader community

This is a hands-on, influential role for a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to deliver results and leading people through complex change.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

* Success in leading organisation-wide change, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and translating strategy into measurable outcomes.
* Strong experience in developing and executing digital and AI strategies, with the ability to align technology solutions to business objectives and sector trends.
* The ability to think strategically and analytically, identifying opportunities for innovation, risk mitigation, and growth.
* Experience in applying structured methodologies to ensure delivery, accountability, and impact.
* A collaborative and influential leadership style, with the ability to engage, advise and build trust with the CEO, Board, executive team and other key stakeholders.
* A commitment to building organisational capability, including fostering a culture of agility, digital literacy, innovation, and continuous improvement.

* NDIS Workers Screening Check Clearance
* NDIS Workers Orientation Module (certificate of completion)
* Working with Children Check (Victorian, Employee)
* Victorian Driver's Licence
