Purpose of the Role:
As the Infrastructure and Operations Manager, you will provide technical and team leadership and play a pivotal role in the continued growth of the business.
This position would be well-suited for a natural leader, preferably from an MSP background, and offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of industry disruption and change.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Cultivate strong relationships with teams, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and seamless operations.
2. Develop and deliver business-aligned infrastructure, security, and services roadmaps, consistently upholding Kennards' values.
3. Prioritise tasks, coordinate incidents, and manage service delivery for a service-oriented experience across the organisation.
4. Lead security and compliance initiatives, maintaining a rationalised and compliant security posture, including experience with frameworks such as Essential 8 and PCI Compliance.
5. Develop redundancy strategies, business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response plans.
6. Create and lead a proactive maintenance framework, ensuring service reliability.
7. Orchestrate and project manage the expansion of the operating platform to new retail locations.
8. Cultivate a healthy technology Wiki to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
9. Transition technical concepts into business cases for new and emerging technology.
10. Provide ongoing monthly Platform, Operations & Security reporting to the CIO.
Your Experience and Strengths
- Solid history of leadership within a fast-paced Managed Service Provider environment.
- Ability to cultivate relationships and communicate technical concepts in a balanced, business-focused manner.
- A collaborative leadership style that encourages teamwork.
- Strong background in modern infrastructure, platform, services, security, and integration, with knowledge of Corporate Cloud computing, application integration, and security services.
- Robust foundation in security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and vulnerability management.
- Experience using and configuring automated monitoring tools, workflows, and actions.
- Proficiency in working with cloud computing workloads and hybrid inter-operability.
- Ability to gather relevant information, think critically, and systematically orchestrate solutions.
- Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices, coupled with strong oral and written communication skills.
