Join the Team at one of Fremantle's Oldest Pubs – Federal Hotel
Based in the heart of Fremantle, with a beer garden, multiple indoor areas and 17 hotel rooms, the Fed is the place to be when visiting Freo. Part of One For the Road, the group operates some of the busiest venues in the Fremantle and surrounds area, including South Beach Hotel, 8 Knots Tavern and the newly opened Bicton Tavern.
We're hiring a Sous Chef who will bring their creativity and skills to our fresh, seasonal menu. You'll work with quality local produce in a supportive kitchen that values teamwork and pride in every plate.
Federal Hotel is one of four venues that is supported by an Executive Chef and operational team who strive to be the best in the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
• Ordering of stock
• Stock take
• Hygiene standards
• Presentation of food
• Revenue activity
• Training and Mentoring
• Systems, process, and industry compliance
• Customer relations
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Previous experience in a Sous Chef role
• Trade Qualification/relevant industry experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Neat professional presentation
• Valid driver's license
• First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Advanced Microsoft Suite experience (desirable)
• Valid work visa (if applicable)
• Food Handlers Certificate
