About the role
The Specialist - Modern Slavery leads the development of resources to support our modern slavery product offering for corporates and supports the development of corporate, philanthropic, and other partnerships to empower organisations to respond to modern slavery. The role will work with the Partnerships team and will establish and grow partnerships that deliver both financial and non-financial value for the Support for Trafficked People Program.
Day to day, you will:
- Together with the Senior Manager Modern slavery develop the product development strategy to engage businesses and increase their effectiveness in responding to modern slavery based on Australian Red Cross unique programmatic experience
- Lead the development and delivery of modern slavery materials and training packages to support businesses respond effectively modern slavery informed by lived experience
- Provide specialist advice on how to identify and respond to modern slavery risks
- Develop partnerships to increase supports available for survivors of trafficking and slavery currently supported through the Support Program
- Undertake research and competitor analysis to inform modern slavery product development and
- Prepare and submit high-quality pitches, funding proposals and grants/tenders
What you will bring
- High level of knowledge and skills in modern slavery, the legislation and experience of survivors
- In depth knowledge of relevant Australian and international legislative and regulatory frameworks (including the Modern Slavery Act and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights)
- Proven experience in developing partnerships and engaging stakeholders
- Sound knowledge gained through experience in advising and consulting with business on modern slavery or ESG issues
- Proficient in using data analytic tools, such as PowerBI
