Costerfield Operations, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated in Central Victoria, east of Bendigo and surrounded by numerous towns within a 50km radius, offering a variety of residential options.
Our current operation runs an underground mine and processing plant that is responsible for producing gold and antimony. The mine's workforce consists of over 250 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.

About The Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team at Costerfield Operations. This role is ideal for an experienced leader in overseeing site maintenance teams and contributing to a growing operation.
Reporting to the General Manager, your primary focus will be providing strategic and operational leadership across mobile plant, fixed plant, and electrical functions covering both underground and processing at the Costerfield Operation. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost-effective performance of all assets through leading, coaching, and mentoring maintenance teams while ensuring maintenance activities align with operational and financial objectives.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
· Champion a high-performance team culture built on safety, accountability, and consistently strong behaviours.
· Drive effective maintenance strategies and asset management practices to optimise equipment reliability and lifecycle performance.
· Lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all maintenance activities across underground, surface, processing and projects areas.
· Ensure timely and efficient execution of maintenance work to support operational performance and production targets.
· Oversee the management of contractors and vendors, ensuring high-quality and commercially sound delivery of services.
· Providing technical guidance and ensure all maintenance activities meet statutory, safety and compliance obligations.
· Proactively monitor maintenance KPI's budgets and financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
· Monitor project KPIs, financials, and budgets proactively, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
· Contribute to tender development and assist with contract negotiations to secure high-value, reliable maintenance service partners.

About You
We are seeking a proactive, results - driven leader with strong strategic capability and the ability to manage complex operational needs. You excel at building high - performing teams, driving continuous improvement, and delivering outcomes safely and efficiently.
* Minimum of 10 years' experience within Australian mining services sector.
* Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Heavy Diesel Engineering, or equivalent experience. Relevant management qualifications or experience in leadership roles within the mining or heavy industry sectors are highly regarded.
* Demonstrated success in delivering cost savings and operational efficiency improvements in a mining environment.
* Comprehensive understanding of statutory requirements, legislation and regulatory frameworks.
* Well-developed leadership skills, including team development, coaching, and performance management.
* Solid understanding of Maintenance Asset Management principles.
* Strong customer focus with a professional, proactive, and solution-oriented communication style.
* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.
