Description

Physiotherapist

Location: Bowral

Employment Type: Part-time

Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 pro rata

Flexibility with hours

Harbison is a not-for-profit, community-owned organisation on an exciting growth path. As we extend our services deeper into the Southern Highlands, we're looking for a Physiotherapist who wants to be part of something new. Build with us. Grow with us.

At Harbison, we support older adults and carers through life's transitions with care that strengthens dignity, independence, and wellbeing. We're looking for a Physiotherapist with clinical experience and a compassionate approach to join our multidisciplinary health team.

Whether it's recovering from hospital, managing pain, or preventing falls, your work will empower older people to stay active and safe—on their own terms. You'll combine clinical skill with creativity to keep older adults active, safe, and connected—whether that's in our clinic, in their homes, or within our residential villages. You will have the security of a salary, the freedom of flexibility, with work that fits your life …and helps others live theirs

What You'll Do:

Personalised therapy:

• Conduct assessments and deliver personalised physiotherapy services focused on mobility, strength, balance, and falls prevention

• Support older adults through reablement, chronic condition management, and post-hospital recovery

• Develop practical, goal-oriented exercise and movement plans

Interdisciplinary teamwork:

• Collaborate with nurses, OTs, carers, families, and GPs to support post-hospital recovery, chronic condition management, and active ageing.

• Promote independence and safety in collaboration with individuals and families.

Community focus:

• Provide services in the clinic, at home, or in residential aged care settings, and play a critical role in the design of future Harbison programs and services.

Quality & improvement: Evaluate outcomes, lead small improvement projects, and share expertise through education sessions.

What You'll Bring:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist

• Experience working with older adults, frailty, or complex physical health needs, including dementia and Parkinson's disease

• Expertise in falls risk assessment, mobility aids, pain management, and safe manual handling

• A warm, respectful, and person-centred approach to care

• Ability to adapt physical interventions for cognitive, emotional, and sensory needs

• Strong documentation and teamwork skills

Why Join Us:

• Purpose & impact: Help older people stay independent and thrive in their own communities. Work in a purpose-driven organisation where your skills make a visible difference

• Salary packaging: Salary packaging to boost your take-home income. Up to $15,900 tax-free plus $2,650 entertainment benefits.

• Professional growth: In-house and online training, clear career pathways.

• Supportive culture: Inclusive, values-driven team committed to dignity, diversity, and wellbeing. Collaborate with a dedicated team in a supportive, community-focused environment.

• Flexibility and security: Part-time or full-time hours, and a private practice role, with the security of a salaried position. Flexibility to provide services across settings, including clinic, group, and home.

• Future-focused: Shape policies, equipment choices, and service models from day one. Your chance to shape a new, community-facing health service with real impact
