About the Supervisor Role We are seeking a Cafe Supervisor to join our esteemed team at Yugen Tea Bar. As a vital part of the leadership team, you will support the Head Barista in overseeing the daily coffee and tea operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and quality. You will take charge when the Head Barista is off duty, leading the team and driving guest engagement. About the Ideal Candidate We are looking for a skilled and passionate hospitality professional with a strong background in specialty coffee and tea. You will be a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves educating guests, and is dedicated to excellence in both product and service. You'll have: At least two years’ experience as a Head Barista or Supervisor in a specialty coffee or hospitality environment. Deep knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, including V60, espresso, and alternative brewing methods. Passion for high-end tea service and the ability to educate staff and guests on premium tea selections. Experience in staff training, mentoring, and leadership. Ability to drive upselling and revenue growth through guest engagement and product recommendations. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Proactive approach with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving ability.
