About The Role
The right candidate will be well versed in all aspects of industrial corrosion protection, carry out blast and DFT inspections, quality documents, experience in a workshop environment and understand multiple coating systems and implement to a high-quality standard, with a NACE 2 qualification. Please note this is a factory based position.
Reporting to the Production Manager, your day will consist of the following:
* Hands on role conducting visual inspections, surface profile tests and daily required testing.
* Be the primary interface between customer service and production staff to ensure customer needs are met.
* Perform visual inspections of customer jobs, materials, products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Conduct daily tests to verify integrity.
* Collaborate with sales / production teams to understand job expectations.
* Receive shipments of both customer and supplier deliveries. Examine deliveries to ensure they are accurate quality, quantity and specifications.
* Advise the production manager of any issues that potentially impact production starting or continuing.
* Keep accurate and complete records in the job folders which is essential to the quality system.
* Follow established guidelines, instructions, policies and procedures, and maintain current quality compliance.
* Act as the point of contact between external engineers and external QA inspectors.
What we are looking for
* Minimum of 3+ year's experience in Quality Assurance in the industrial corrosion industry is a must.
* NACE Level 2 certified a must.
* Ability to understand technical specifications of materials and equipment.
* Excellent communication and customer skills and the ability to work with different teams within the company.
* Company car and phone provided.
* Keen interest in quality assurance and attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment and meet deadlines.
* Proficient in MS Word & Excel.
