Electrical and Mechanical Maintainer Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Maintainer to join our team in Cairns.
This role provides electrical and mechanical service to the Kuranda Scenic Railway Operations and Travel & Tourism Maintenance Depot.
* Contribute to safety, reliability, and availability of rollingstock by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, complex fault finding, and repairs.
* Participate in the overhaul and refurbishment programs for the Kuranda Scenic Railway Carriage.
* Support derailment and accident situations as required.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dual trade capacity, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical systems.
* Diagnose and repair faults in complex equipment.
* Collaborate with other team members to achieve maintenance objectives.
Requirements:
* A current manual 'C' class driver's license.
* An Electrical Mechanical Fitter License.
* An Engineering Trade Certificate 3 Mechanical or equivalent (desired).
* A strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
* A commitment to safe working practices and zero harm.
Additional Requirements:
* Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and travel across the district when required.
