Social Work Professionals at our organization play a vital role in supporting children and young people to thrive in their community and culture. They provide comprehensive support to foster carers, ensuring CALD children and young people have the best possible placement.
About the Role
You will be a key point of contact for carers, conducting regular home visits, offering support and training, and monitoring placement standards. You will also perform case management duties, including assessments, negotiations, and Placement Care Plans. This is a hands-on role involving collaboration with our team and external partners to match children with suitable families and maintain connections to their community and culture.
 * Support and mentor children and young people in out-of-home care.
 * Work collaboratively with carers, families, and communities to ensure the best outcomes for CALD children and young people.
About You
To succeed in this role, you must be passionate about supporting children and families, with a deep understanding of the unique needs of CALD children in Out-of-Home Care. You should have excellent communication skills, a talent for building trusting relationships, and experience working with children, young people, carers, and families in child protection or OOHC services.
 * A relevant degree in Social Work or a related field (or progressing towards one).
 * Minimum three years of experience in child protection or OOHC services.
