Quality, Health & Safety Manager Role at MCC Label (Box Hill plant)

Overview MCC Label is a global leader in label manufacturing for FMCG, pharmaceutical, and hospitality sectors. As the Quality, Health & Safety Manager you will oversee product quality, process compliance, and workplace health and safety across our IML production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001, HACCP, BRC, GMP) and document control.

Oversee QC and QA processes, including incoming material inspection and supplier quality.

Investigate non‑conformances, customer complaints and implement CAPA.

Conduct internal audits, support external inspections, and liaise with regulators and certification bodies.

Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health and safety programs (ISO 45001).

Perform risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations to foster a proactive safety culture.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, reporting CI metrics and identifying efficiency gains.

Train and coach team members on quality, safety, and compliance requirements.

Prepare and present quality and safety performance reports to management.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality and/or safety role in manufacturing (printing, plastics, packaging, or IML preferred).

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, BRC, and relevant regulatory standards.

Proven experience with audits, CAPA, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methods (Six Sigma, 5S).

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Tertiary qualification in Quality Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.

Experience with machinery safety, chemical handling, and IML production is an advantage.
