Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse business and functional requirements to create detailed and effective test cases
* Design, maintain, and execute manual and/or automated test scripts
* Identify, document, and track software defects using tools such as JIRA
* Perform various types of testing including functional, integration, system, regression, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
* Test and validate Point of Sale (POS) systems, including transaction flows, pricing, promotions, payments, refunds, and integrations with upstream/downstream systems
* Collaborate closely with developers, Business Analysts, and product teams to clarify requirements and improve overall test coverage
* Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‐ups, reviews, and retrospectives
* Ensure end‐to‐end traceability of test cases to business and functional requirements
* Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, processes, and documentation
Required Skills & Experience
* Solid understanding of the end‐to‐end Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
* Strong Retail domain experience, with hands‐on exposure to Point of Sale (POS) applications and retail transaction systems
* Experience testing POS‐related functionalities such as sales, returns, exchanges, discounts, loyalty programs, and payment integrations
* Experience with MS Power Apps in the Retail domain, including Timesheets, Allowances, Cash Discrepancies, Staff Management, and Staff Allocation
* Hands‐on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as PractiTest, JIRA, and ALM
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with attention to detail
* Working knowledge of SQL with the ability to validate and verify data at the database level
* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ways of working
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills
