About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Contract Manager to support the successful delivery of current and projected projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company's requirements for contract management are consistently followed.
Main Responsibilities
* Prepare, manage, and administer customer and subcontractor contracts, including developing contract and change management strategies for projects;
* Review project documentation and assess potential risks, identifying and coordinating their management;
* Maintain a contractual overview of project obligations and baselines (scope, quality, time), including records of all contractual deviations and consequences;
* Participate in the sales phase of projects, reviewing, assessing, re-drafting, and negotiating contracts;
* Work with Project Planners and Cost Controllers to prepare change orders and variations;
* Substantiate, submit, and negotiate variations with customers;
* S Support the preparation and execution of subcontracts in coordination with procurement colleagues;
* Provide regular updates to Project Management and internal stakeholders on contractual deviations;
* Maintain project documentation and records;
* Create notices of impact on program elements affecting or potentially affecting scope, time, or cost;
* Support Project Management in fulfilling correspondence requirements as addressed in the contract;
* Collaborate with the commercial team to drive continuous improvement in company contracts through lessons learned and risk mitigation.
About You
You have previous experience working within project teams as a key participant for the Project Director/Project Manager for construction or engineering capital projects. Your intimate understanding of large construction/engineering project execution and experience in Australian and/or New Zealand construction contracts is essential.
You hold tertiary qualifications in commercial management, contract management, industrial engineering, project management, or similar fields, along with superior written and oral communication and coordination skills.
Your extensive knowledge of cause-and-effect relationships in construction or engineering projects, executed change management, claims, and variations for time and cost, and lead contract administration make you an ideal candidate for this role.
