Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, professional and client-focused Part-Time Massage Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will specialise in therapeutic massage modalities, with specific experience or interest in pregnancy, postnatal and relaxation massage. You will help enhance the wellbeing of our clients as part of a supportive, evidence-based health and wellness environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide safe, effective and client-centred massage therapy including - Remedial massage, Pregnancy massage, Post-partum massage, Relaxation and stress-relief massage
* Tailor treatments to the individual needs of clients, with attention to comfort, safety and therapeutic outcomes
* Maintain professional boundaries and uphold MIWM's high standards of care and client experience
* Educate clients on self-care techniques and support their overall wellbeing
* Collaborate with clinical team members (physios, GPs, allied health) to ensure coordinated care
* Keep accurate and timely client records consistent with clinic policies
* Support a calm, nurturing environment aligned with MIWM's mission
* Adhere to workplace health, hygiene and safety standards
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma or Cert IV (or equivalent) in Massage Therapy or relevant qualification
* Experience working with pregnancy and postnatal clients required
* Demonstrated skill in remedial and relaxation massage modalities
* Current professional indemnity insurance
* Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification
* Strong communication skills, empathy and professionalism
* Commitment to evidence-based practice and client-centred care
Work Hours
* Part-time/2 days per week
* Tuesday and Wednesday preferred days but can be flexible if required
* This would be in a contractor capacity, rather than per-hour wages
