We are seeking an experienced
Transport and Warehouse Manager to join our Airfreight team in
Alexandria.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and the lead the warehouse operations team and labour in accordance with volume
Ensure Import and Export cargo is delivered within key timeframes
Manage the warehouse with intense safety protocols in place
Ensure the facility and all equipment is fully maintained and workable with a contingency plan in place for any breakdowns
Ensure all customers or clients have SOP's in place and staff are trained in all aspects of client requirements
Report on profitability of all clients taking into account warehouse space utilized and staff assigned
Competencies and Skills
4+ years of experience in a warehouse management role, ideally in a 3PL & Freight Forwarding environment
Previous experience in managing a medium sized team in a warehouse environment
Understanding of client management and profitability
Ability to present monthly results and make changes to improve productivity
Knowledge of relevant legislation and authorities
Solid relationship building skills
Strong business acumen skills
