About the Head of Boys' Boarding
Are you an engaging, compassionate and experienced professional skilled in providing effective pastoral care to boy boarders in years 7-12. We are seeking a can‐do person who has a thorough understanding of adolescents and the ability to develop effective relationships with students, parents and staff. Your passion to provide the best residential care for our students will be evident and is essential to the role.
This position will include a teaching load.
Key Responsibilities
* Working closely with Director of Boarding to achieve the best outcomes for boarding students.
* Take oversight of, and responsibility for, general wellbeing, behaviour, discipline, and morale of boy boarders.
* Take responsibility for the day-to-day facility management and general state and appearance of the Boys' Boarding House.
* Lead and manage the boys' boarding house staff including the roster management.
* Foster strong relationships with Boarder parents and communities, communicating with individual parents regarding the needs of their children.
* Ensure boarding house compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. WHS).
* Undertake a teaching load of up to 0.4 FTE within the Senior School.
You will demonstrate natural ability to deliver pastoral care to adolescent boys, be an excellent communicator, patient, nurturing and compassionate, a team leader who inspires others to learn and grow. Previous experience in a leadership role, especially in a boarding environment, will be highly regarded. Teaching qualifications essential.
