The Role
The primary role is to manage the Equipment Management Department (EMD) within Mammoet Australia, ensuring that the fleet of equipment that is utilised nationally is repaired and maintained proactively, on time and to the highest quality. Working closely with operations you will play a key role in preparing equipment for mobilisation to site, preventative maintenance planning of the fleet and responding to breakdowns. You will also be responsible for managing workshop operations at the Port Hedland and Naval Base depots and leading a highly skilled teams of technicians.
Reporting to our Director of Operations, this is a full time, permanent position to be based at our Henderson office in Perth. Additional travel to other Australian based Depot and sites will be required.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Manage Mammoet Australia fleet of equipment for all aspects related to maintenance, repair, condition monitoring and breakdown.
* Drive quality and efficiency within the EMD department
* Ensure maintenance and repair activities are planned and executed efficiently, utilising SAP Digital Work Orders (DWO) and Planning Board.
* Control spending within the annual maintenance budget and equipment related CAPEX budget(s).
* Build a global support network within Mammoet, and with external suppliers, ensuring that any maintenance, repair or breakdowns can be responded to quickly and efficiently regardless of equipment location.
* Work closely with the Operations team, including co-ordination of our technicians who are deployed nationally to proactively manage any equipment issues.
* Develop and mentor the EMD team
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* Full eligibility to work in Australia.
* Professional level experience in people management and 10 years of experience within plant or equipment maintenance activities.
* Evidence of experience in a similar role, ideally in any/some of the following sectors:, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports and mining
* Valid Australian License.
