As part of our Buildings & Property sector, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from commercial and healthcare to education and critical infrastructure.
For example, we recently engaged to deliver multidisciplinary engineering services for the design phase of Perth Airport's new international and domestic terminals.
Your New Role
You'll work closely with our Building Services Director, leading technical delivery, managing projects and people, and shaping the strategic direction of the business.
Duties Lead the technical design on electrical services, including design management, for medium to large multi‑disciplinary projects.
Deliver best practice outcomes for clients, saving on costs and time.
Act as a Project Lead and manage a small team of Engineers and Drafters.
Communicate effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teams.
Mentor and support less experienced engineers.
Build solid client relationships and recognise business development opportunities (desirable).
Represent and promote the business within local and regional markets.
Contribute to the development of the business unit against strategic goals.
About You Hold a recognised Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
Demonstrate expertise in designing electrical systems for building services.
Coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Hydraulic, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design.
Have proven project experience in the building services sector across Infrastructure, Property & Buildings, Defence, Healthcare, Educational, and/or Mission Critical facilities.
Possess a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards; local WA experience an advantage.
Maintain registration (or eligibility for registration) on the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry.
Have a history of effectively managing competing priorities, prioritising work, and meeting tight deadlines.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Be a capable project and people leader who can train and mentor junior engineers, coupled with effective communication skills at all levels.
