Community Corrections: Fixed Term Employment Register
Positions may be available for up to 12 months on a fixed‐term basis.
Prior training, experience and qualifications are not required, but relevant tertiary or industry qualifications are desirable. Flexible options will be considered regarding part‐time hours.
Case Work Support Officer
Salary range: $74,783 - $80,835 pro rata – General Stream Band 3.
Case Work Support Officers assess offenders within the corrections system and provide comprehensive reports regarding their level of risk and suitability for community‐based orders.
Probation Officer
Salary range: $83,011 - $95,547 pro rata – General Stream Band 4.
Probation Officers help protect the community by supervising offenders on community‐based orders, addressing offending behaviours, providing opportunities for rehabilitation and ensuring offenders comply with court orders. They work in close collaboration with the Courts, Parole Board, Tasmania Prison Service and Tasmania Police.
