Lead Clinician in Geriatric Care
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Clinician to join our team. As a Consultant Geriatrician in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the Acute Frailty Team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical leadership to deliver high-quality evidence-based care for older adults in ED.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and timely decision-making.
* Identify frail older patients suitable for diversion to out-of-hospital care.
* Facilitate safe discharge and ongoing community care, reducing unnecessary inpatient admissions.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Highly experienced Consultant Geriatrician with expertise in geriatric and frailty care.
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality evidence-based care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability to develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and flow.
