We are currently recruiting for an experienced administration officer to support our locally based quarry operations. The role would initially cover a maternity leave vacancy for a period of approximately 12 months commencing from January 2026 and whilst not guaranteed, ongoing work may also be available beyond the initial engagement.
This is a Monday to Friday, office-based position, however the hours of work are open to discussion and could accommodate both full-time and part-time arrangements.
You would be primarily responsible for the accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and human resource functions of the quarry business in addition to assisting with simple quotes, weighbridge and general office duties
Duties would include:
* Data entry and processing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, human resource functions
* Simple quotes
* Weighbridge and reception - answering phones and using initiative to deal with quotes and enquiries
* Ordering and stock control.
* Reconciling
* General office duties
To fulfill the requirements of this position you would possess the following qualities as a minimum:
* An office administration background
* Able to work with minimum supervision
* Accuracy and attention to detail;
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
* A positive and mature attitude
* Previous experience in quarrying or haulage industries would be highly regarded
* Australian permanent residency or citizenship required
