**About the role**:
We are currently seeking a **CHPP Logistics Coordinator** at our Wambo mine complex. Our Wambo mine complex is a combined open-cut and underground mine located 30 kilometers west of Singleton that produce metallurgical and thermal coal for export and domestic markets.
Reporting to the CHPP Manager, the role is to be responsible for prepare washing and railing schedules to ensure Wambo delivers the required tonnage at specified quality to meet customer requirements.
**Duties will include**:
- Coordinate on-site rail and shipping requirements by providing technical direction (rail schedules and blends) to the Production Department to ensure the correct tonnage and quality are railed
- Collect and report historical, current and forecast train details and stock levels
- Liaise with Marketing regarding rail and shipping programs and other matters to ensure their requirements are met
- Liaise with rail service provider to monitor rail performance
- Oversee on-site coal quality matters, including reviewing and reporting CHPP coal quality data, as supplied by the superintending laboratory
- Liaise with Marketing regarding coal quality issues such as variance from target
- Liaise with the Mining Department's production and technical staff to confirm that production forecasts will be met
- Investigate and report any matters that may compromise coal quality
- Manage data, including daily, weekly data collation, checking and entry, and performance reporting for production data, down time data, coal quality data, use of consumables (such as magnetite) and other parameters as identified from time to time
- Stockpile survey reconciliation Coordinate and liaise with production team, contractors and key stakeholders
- Identify and implement continuous (CI) improvement strategies targeting safety, reliability and cost saving
**The lifestyle**:
This position is offered on a Monday to Friday roster with one rostered day off per month and can allow for a residential lifestyle.
**About you**:
- Engineering Degree or other relevant Tertiary Degree
- 3+ years experience in experience within coal mining industry, in particular coal quality and logistics
- Ability to work autonomously and able to manage a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent written and communication skills, attention to detail, and an ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder engagement relationships
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Proficiency in SAP
