Offer description

We’re working with a fast-paced, corporate events agency that’s redefining how their sales and account management teams operate. They’ve created a new Event Customer Solutions team – a dedicated unit focused on crafting best-in-class proposals, tailored event concepts, and strategic responses for prospective and existing clients. This is a rare opportunity for someone who knows the events world but is ready to step away from event delivery and toward leadership, quality control, and strategic enablement. Can be based in Sydney or Melbourne. The Role: This newly created Team Leader role will oversee a small, capable group of Customer Solution Managers (CSMs), ensuring consistency, accuracy, and creativity in every client proposal that goes out. Reporting to the Head of Account Management & Customer Solutions, as well as working closely with the Head of Sales, you’ll have leadership opportunities as well as being expected to roll up your sleeves to contribute hands-on where needed – whether it's budget builds, RFPs, or creative ideation. Lead, coach and inspire a small team to deliver polished, strategic proposals Step in to personally develop high-quality event proposals and RFP responses as required Work closely with Account Managers and Business Development leads to qualify briefs and align on strategy Review proposal content and presentation to ensure it reflects brand tone and commercial goals Confidently build or review budgets and timelines, and make sound recommendations Liaise with suppliers, venues and internal teams to source and cost solutions The Candidate: You’ll thrive in this role if you’re commercially minded, quality-obsessed, and passionate about mentoring others. You’ve likely worked in an event agency environment before, understand event workflows, and know how to balance creativity with profit margin and resource planning. Have experience managing teams in the proposal, pitch, or sales enablement space within the events or creative industry. Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite- particularly Excel and PowerPoint Ideally experienced in Cvent and Procim event software Have a collaborative mindset and can work in tandem with multiple internal teams Advanced knowledge of domestic and international event suppliers, venues and destinations Ability to juggle multiple projects at once with exceptional attention to detail Experienced in setting up complex event budgets Salary & Benefits: $110K base salary with monthly performance incentive ($121K OTE guaranteed for the first 12 months) Leadership opportunity in a newly restructured and highly collaborative team Flexible work options – 4 days/week considered for the right candidate Join a thriving creative agency working with top-tier clients across a wide range of event formats Sydney or Melbourne based THE MONDAY GROUP is a specialist recruitment agency and executive search firm for the events, experiential marketing, hotel & hospitality industries.
