We are seeking a talented CDP/Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Duke's Restaurant and Bar in East Maitland, NSW.
You will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in leading our kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

What you'll be doing
Assisting the Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen staff supervision.
Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
Overseeing the day-to-day kitchen activities, including food preparation, inventory management, and kitchen hygiene.
Providing mentorship and training to junior kitchen staff to help develop their skills and expertise.
Collaborating with the team to develop new and innovative menu items that showcase our restaurant's food style.
Maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
What we're looking for
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a qualified chef within a high-quality restaurant or catering establishment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes.
Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.
Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with the front-of-house team and customers.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
