We are looking for keen chef to join our team at Meals on Wheels on Fraser Coast. As part of our kitchen team, you will work directly with the kitchen production manager.
The Chef is responsible for the creation of quality, nutritious meals for clients of Meals on Wheels Fraser Community, and for assisting in the smooth running of a safe and sanitary kitchen
A few obvious important things:
* Current Driver's License
* Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
* Police Check and references check
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Effective communication skills and orientation towards staffs
* Demonstrated ability to work in busy production kitchen with many staff
* Knowledge of good hygiene practices and a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Main responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
· Ensuring that the food produced is as per the set menu and according to individual resident's dietary/specialised nutritional requirements and or known food allergens and tolerances.
· Ensure that all food safety audits/documentation is correctly completed and recorded as per the required schedule
· Ensuring compliance with relevant food safety, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
