Description About the role: As a senior team member, you will play a key leadership role in the data team, providing guidance and mentorship to analysts across the organisation in analytics (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive) and supporting development of best practice insights. Through collaboration with business stakeholders, technical leads, and analytics resources, you are responsible for leading and embedding data-driven decision-making across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Liaise with analysts and management across the business to ensure analytics and performance metrics are developed, delivered and utilised in a consistent and trusted manner in accordance with best practice. Identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytics techniques. Develop and maintain positive and influential working relationships with key business stakeholders, to identify and address data analysis needs. Translate business requirements into analytical solutions. Ensure that the business requirements are met during the design phase of the new data warehouse. Produce high quality documentation including data flow diagrams, release notes and process flow diagrams as required. Develop and refine standards and methodologies for data analysis and visualisation. Identify opportunities to improve data collection, data quality and analytical processes to drive operational efficiency. Provide leadership and mentorship to data analysts across the business, promoting skill development and fostering a collaborative culture. Leverage the Data Analytics Forum to drive engagement, consistency and collaboration. Provide advisory services to business users, project managers, business analysts, data analysts and developers on making best use of the data platform to drive adoption. Conduct demonstrations, user testing, feedback and training sessions relating to the enterprise data environment, analytical tools and relevant development, analytical and visualisation standards. About you: You have proven experience in growing Data analytics capabilities, both within the data team and across the organisation, resulting in an uplift in self-service reporting and analytics; ensuring frameworks, standards and processes for analytics are clearly defined and embedded in the delivery of data analytics. Knowledge and Experience: Extensive experience in the data analytics field Ability to work with large and complex datasets, using advanced analytics tools and techniques. Expertise in data analysis tools (SQL, Python) and data visualisation platforms (Power BI) Experience in data modelling, database management and working with data warehouses or data lakes. Business analysis and change management skills Experience in identifying, articulating, and designing testing strategies and frameworks Ability to ensure the accuracy of data analysis through the maintenance of high-quality standards and practices.
