Overview
The team at FTP is growing as we expand our product features to service additional customers and industry segments. We are currently looking for a Full Stack Developer to work in one of our development teams working on our Wireless Manager application.
About the role
The front-end aspects of the role will see you working on a large TypeScript codebase with data manipulation and novel data visualisation a core part of your day to day. Understanding some basic 3D rendering and GIS concepts will be valuable in handling the geospatial features of Wireless Manager. The success of our applications is built around user-friendliness and data-clarity so an eye for UX is highly valued.
The back-end aspects of the role will be focused on developing data streams for Wireless Manager – integrating with edge devices, transforming device data, and storing and retrieving the data for the API. Our aim is to maintain and grow the pool of supported edge devices.
We are looking for someone who is excited to work on a large application and all the complexities that go with it. We are building a product, not a one-off solution. Testability, maintainability and minimising technical debt are important to us. Prior experience with enterprise grade software development best practices will be beneficial.
What we need from you Essential skills
* 2+ years of backend development experience with REST APIs, Python, Linux, SQL
* Exposure to large scale development best-practices such as automated testing, CI/CD, peer reviews, and agile methodologies.
Highly valued
* Containerization with Docker, Orchestration with Kubernetes
* Experience with monitoring platforms. E.g. SolarWinds, Prometheus.
