We are currently seeking a Casual Workshop Joiner / Cabinet Maker / Shopfitter /Carpenter to join our growing team at Hiline Home Modifications. This role will start on a casual basis, with the strong possibility of progressing to permanent employment for the right person.

You will be part of our newly expanded workshop team, producing high-quality joinery and custom-made components used in home modification projects across Adelaide. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on, meaningful work and wants to become a long‑term member of a supportive and well‑structured team.

Responsibilities

* Manufacture custom timber and joinery items including steps, ramps, handrails, chair raisers, shower platforms and other bespoke products according to drawings and specifications.
* Measure, cut, shape, assemble and finish timber components with high precision.
* Operate woodworking machinery (panel saws, sanders, drills, routers) safely and confidently.
* Build cabinetry, or custom joinery used in home modifications.
* Interpret technical drawings, plans and OT specifications to deliver accurate products.


Workshop & Warehouse Support

* Support the warehouse by picking orders, loading materials, and maintaining stock levels.
* Prepare materials (timber, aluminum, decking) for installation teams to meet job deadlines.
* Assist with deliveries to sites as required using a company vehicle.


Quality & Workflow

* Maintain an organised, clean and safe workshop environment.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of workshop processes.
* Complete work orders and measurements accurately.


Who We're Looking For:

* Experienced in either shopfitting, cabinetry, joinery, or carpentry.
* Organised and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Holds a valid driver's license and the relevant work clearances or willing to obtain (NDIS, Aged Care, Police Clearance, White Card).
* Full working rights in Australia.
