General Manager
Roma Commerce and Tourism (RCAT) is seeking an energetic, community‑minded and strategic leader to become our next General Manager.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic membership organisation and play a key role in supporting business growth, tourism development, regional liveability and economic prosperity.
As the chief operational representative of RCAT, you will work closely with local businesses, government, industry, community organisations and the Management Committee to deliver programmes, projects and advocacy initiatives that strengthen our region and create opportunities for the future.

Overview of the Role
Reporting to the RCAT President and Management Committee, the General Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership and management of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Implementing RCAT's Strategic Plan and annual priorities
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with members, sponsors, government and industry stakeholders
* Advocating on behalf of local business, industry and tourism
* Facilitating projects that support regional liveability, workforce attraction and economic development
* Identifying and securing grant funding, sponsorships and partnerships
* Managing RCAT's annual calendar of events, including the Maranoa Business Awards, Supply Chain Forum and networking events
* Delivering membership growth and engagement initiatives
* Managing organisational finances, reporting and administration
* Supporting the Management Committee through governance, planning and reporting
* Leading marketing, communications and promotion activities
About You
You are a highly organised and self‑motivated professional who enjoys working across a diverse range of projects and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in leadership, management or coordination roles
* Strong relationship‑building, networking and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience managing projects, programmes, events and budgets
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities
* Sound financial and organisational management skills
* High‑level computer literacy and confidence using digital systems
* Experience in business, tourism, economic development, membership organisations or the not‑for‑profit sector (highly regarded)
* Grant writing and sponsorship development experience (highly regarded)
* Knowledge of the Roma and Maranoa business community (highly regarded)
* Experience using Xero or similar accounting software (highly regarded)
* Relevant tertiary qualifications (highly regarded)
