The Transportation Safety Manager role is crucial in ensuring compliance with national and state legislation and stakeholders. The incumbent develops, implements, and maintains safety management policies and procedures for transport services.
This position conducts assurance and auditing activities, obtains and maintains accreditation, and oversees risk assessments and procedures for bus staff.
A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Education, or related field is essential, while relevant experience is desirable.
The successful candidate must obtain a Department of Human Services working with children check prior to employment, which is renewed every five years. The incumbent will undertake extended training courses as required.
