As they enter a significant new phase of growth and transformation, Randstad is working exclusively with Mitolo to find a Procurement Manager to lead the transition to a modern and centralised procurement and commercial function.
This is a rare "clean slate" opportunity to build the framework, systems, and team culture required to manage a considerable spend. Your experience, input and resilience will play a pivotal role in evolving operations to a strategic, unified model that supports ongoing site redevelopments, expansions and packaging innovations.
The Role
Reporting directly to the C-suite, you will oversee the end-to-end sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of goods and services to meet complex operational needs.
* Transition local purchasing activities into a cohesive model that drives value across all categories
* Oversee major spend across machinery, capital expansion, energy, chemicals, and corporate categories
* Support the rollout of a modern MRP to assist innovating forecasting
* Manage critical relationships with internal site leaders and a diverse external supplier base, including freight and energy providers
* Lead and mentor a team of five, including a dedicated 2IC, fostering a culture of professional growth and high performance
* Develop and enforce procurement policies and best practices to streamline operations and ensure compliance
* Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and initiate improvements where necessary
* Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and alternative sourcing options
What You Will Need to Apply
This role requires a blend of strategic vision and "on-the-ground" execution. You will be a seasoned procurement professional with holistic supply chain knowledge who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environments.
* At least 5 years of proven experience in procurement and supply chain within a manufacturing or processing organization
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder needs and drive change
* Previous team leadership is not essential, but you would have acted as a go-to or senior member of the team
* Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable long-term agreements
* Proficiency in ERP/MRP and digital tools to enhance efficiency
* A valid driver's licence and a willingness to travel to Virginia head office as a home base, and across regional sites to engage with site-based teams
