Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Coding Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive coding audits, leading and providing ongoing coding education, preparing and delivering education and training activities, educating clinicians on clinical documentation improvement, DRG and activity-based funding.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent tertiary qualification, demonstrated auditing experience in a tertiary hospital, sound knowledge of audit processes and data integrity, minimum of 3-5 years coding experience in abstracting and coding across a wide case mix, sound understanding of Australian and NSW Coding Standards, and knowledge of developing, designing and implementing training programs for coders and clinical documentation improvement recommendations.
Requirements
