Minutes to Seconds is looking for a Business Analyst with extensive knowledge of Data in a Contract role in Melbourne.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
* Work closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
* Translate business needs into clear user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
* Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement review sessions with cross-functional teams.
Data Analysis & Testing
* Perform detailed data analysis using SQL, Excel, and BI tools.
* Validate large datasets across systems to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
* Define and execute data test cases for end-to-end data flow validation, including source-to-target mapping.
* Collaborate with data engineers and testers to identify and resolve data anomalies.
Domain Expertise – Retail / Supply Chain
* Analyze processes related to inventory management, order fulfillment, procurement, POS, logistics, and supply planning.
* Understand and document data flows across systems such as ERP, WMS, OMS, or retail merchandising platforms.
* Work with SMEs to design enhancements and optimizations in supply chain or retail operations.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
* Act as the liaison between business users, technical teams, and QA teams.
* Prepare BRDs, FRDs, wireframes, and dashboard mockups where needed.
* Present findings, solutions, and reports to stakeholders in clear business terms.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
* 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with proven data-related project experience.
* Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience validating and reconciling datasets.
* Experience with data mapping, data lineage, and ETL validation.
* Familiarity with BI/Reporting tools.
* Proven experience working in the Retail or Supply Chain domain (mandatory).
* Understanding of supply chain workflows: inventory, warehousing, logistics, procurement, etc.
* Excellent documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with ERP systems.
* Understanding of data lakes, data warehouses, and modern data platforms.
* Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools.
* Other relevant certifications.
