Why this role exists
With a new Google cloud data platform going live shortly and a dedicated Data Governance function being established, the business needs a Business Analyst who can sit between stakeholders and the reporting team.
This role will see you translating performance questions and operational needs into clear, prioritised reporting requirements.
You'll help teams understand what's possible, work shoulder-to-shoulder with analysts building dashboards, and guide the business toward better decision-making.
What you'll be doing
* Partner with senior leaders, operations, HR, finance and other key stakeholders to understand their metrics, challenges and insight needs.
* Gather and document requirements for dashboards, reports and data solutions using best-practice BA techniques.
* Translate business needs into actionable specifications for Reporting Analysts and the Data Warehouse team.
* Support solution design and feasibility assessments, ensuring alignment with data architecture and the emerging data governance framework.
* Validate and test dashboards to ensure accuracy, usability and business value.
* Help uplift organisational data literacy through training sessions, quick reference guides and stakeholder coaching.
* Work in an Agile environment, navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities and tight delivery timeframes.
What you'll bring
* Solid Business Analysis experience, ideally in data, analytics or reporting-focused environments.
* Strong Power BI literacy (you don't need to be a developer, but you must understand how dashboards are structured and what's feasible).
* Ability to map data sources, translate business processes into data requirements, and understand how metrics connect to backend storage.
* Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels, especially in environments where data maturity varies.
* Experience in healthcare or not-for-profit settings is a bonus, but not essential.
* Comfort working in a small, evolving data team where people roll up their sleeves, collaborate and build new practices together.
