Valrose is partnering with a Perth-based organisation scaling a modern, cloud-native platform. They're looking for Software Engineers with an engineering mindset: people who enjoy building, learning, and thinking critically about what they ship.
This platform powers end-to-end digital journeys and integrations across a multi-brand organisation, used by thousands of customers.
What you'll be responsible for
* Working across the whole delivery loop: build → deploy → monitor → improve.
* Building, testing and shipping Node.js + TypeScript services on AWS (serverless/event-driven), owning your code through to production.
* Writing clean, maintainable code with automated testing, peer reviews, and pragmatic refactoring.
* Working with AWS services day-to-day (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, eventing, data stores, queues/topics).
* Collaborating with product and stakeholders to break down work, estimate sensibly, and deliver iteratively (Agile/Kanban/Scrum).
What you'll bring to the role
* Your proven success in building backend services with Node.js + TypeScript .
* Your delivery in AWS (you've deployed and supported workloads, not just coded locally).
* Your experience with serverless and/or event-driven systems, and your understanding of why and when to use them.
* Your solid engineering fundamentals: testing, debugging, performance, code quality, and production ownership.
* Your genuine engineering mindset — you can think critically, validate AI-assisted output, and explain trade-offs clearly.
