ABOUT THE ROLE
Location: Birtinya, Sunshine Coast
As our business grows, so too does our Finance Team.
In this NEW role, you will be responsible for the delivery of the financial accounting and reporting functions of the Australian business, including Accounting, Management reporting, Taxation, External Audit and Reporting. You will also be ensuring technical accuracy, timeliness and compliance in all financial outputs, and for supporting process improvement initiatives across the finance function. This position works closely with the Financial Controller, Head of Corporate Finance and the Financial Planning & Analysis Team to provide high quality financial information that supports operational and strategic decision making.
Your strategic deliverables will include:
* Provide accurate, timely and relevant financial information and analysis to managers, functional leaders and executives
* Ensure financial data is prepared and summarised consistently with group process to support decision making.
* Contribute to the development of the Financial Accountants and overall knowledge base of the Australian Finance team.
* Strength in process mapping, with the ability to identify, define and execute the recommendations and opportunities for improved financial control, modernisation and efficiencies, across all financial processes, across the group.
* Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to personal development by ensuring training and development is kept up to date and in accordance with continuous professional education requirements of the Australian accounting bodies.
ABOUT YOU
You will bring with you:
* An understanding of business from both a financial and operational perspective.
* The ability to identify problems, collect and analyse data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
* Lead and manage EOM reporting and analysis.
* Continuous improvement experience in key accounting processes including system implementations in ERP, procure to pay, order to cash, variance analysis, on-line balance sheet reconciliations.
* Finance policies, procedures and processes including documenting all processes.
* Be able to assist in budget and forecast process.
* Compliance and lodgments (accounting, tax, regulatory).
Qualification required:
* 3-5 + years similar role.
* CPA / CA qualified (or equivalent).
* Strong technical and professional knowledge.
* Big 4, Large company or Mid-Tier background.
