We are currently seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to jointhe team providing support services at Bethanie Peel Aged Care Homelocated in Mandurah. Bethanie Peel is a warm and welcoming 50 bedfacility set amongst landscaped gardens, with a personalised memorysupport area to safely and securely accommodate residents withdementia or similar conditions.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience incleaning ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment,and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents iscore to our culture.
Successful applicants will form part of our casual pool whoprovide relief across both morning and afternoon shifts, as well ason weekends and public holidays. You may also have the opportunityto be trained in and work across the roles of Kitchen Hand andLaundry Assistant.
About You
* Previous experience working as a Domestic Assistant /Cleaner, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similarenvironment
* Have a 'can do' attitude and a genuinecompassion for our residents
* Reliable with a strong work ethic
* Ability to work both independently and as part of ateam
* Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of TheBethanie Group
* Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
* Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to applyfor one)
The Role
* Ensuring bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floorsand communal areas are kept clean and tidy
* Ensuring supplies are stocked across the facility
* Liaising with other employees to ensure the needs of ourresidents are met
* Ensuring residents' personal clothing is individuallylabelled and put away in their rooms, identifying items thatrequire mending
