Receptionist - Smithton Veterinary Services
Smithton Veterinary Services is a long standing and well regarded veterinary clinic serving the Smithton and wider community. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, practical and professional care for our clients and their animals.
We are seeking a Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will play an important role in ensuring each client and patient feels welcomed and well supported. Your day to day responsibilities will include:
* Providing high quality customer service over the phone and in person
* Welcoming clients and their pets to the clinic
* Managing appointments and supporting smooth daily scheduling
* Working closely with veterinarians and nurses throughout the day
* Processing invoices and payments accurately
* Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception area
About You
You are someone who enjoys interacting with people and can juggle multiple tasks while remaining calm and professional. You will bring:
* A friendly, positive and reliable approach to work
* Strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients
* Good attention to detail and time management skills
* The ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and maturity
* A genuine interest in animal care and supporting a veterinary team
What We're Looking For
* At least 2 years experience in a customer service or reception role
* Veterinary clinic or animal care experience is an advantage but not essential
* Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
* A team focused attitude and willingness to help where needed
