The Opportunity
This is a genuine growth opportunity for someone in the building/trades industry who wants to step into project management or further develop their career in this space.
We're seeking someone who understands construction, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to be part of scaling a business. Whether you're an experienced project manager, a tradesperson looking to move off the tools, a site supervisor ready for the next step, or someone with construction knowledge who's great with people and organisation, we want to hear from you.
This role will grow as Market Ready grows. You'll be joining the team at an exciting stage where you can genuinely shape how we operate and develop professionally alongside the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Coordination & Delivery
* Manage multiple pre-sale renovation projects from initial consultation through to completion
* Coordinate our network of trusted trades (painters, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, tilers, landscapers, and more)
* Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to Market Ready's quality standards
Client & Stakeholder Management
* Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners and real estate agents throughout project lifecycle
* Build and maintain relationships with agents, understanding their needs and timelines
* Communicate project progress, timelines, and any issues clearly and professionally
Systems & Process Management
* Learn and use our project management systems (we'll train you on Buildxact and similar platforms)
* Keep accurate project records, schedules, and budgets
* Stay organised across multiple projects happening simultaneously
Quality Control & Compliance
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality meets Market Ready standards
**What we are looking for
Essential:**
* Good communicator: comfortable talking with homeowners, agents, and tradies
* Organised and reliable: able to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Quick learner with technology: willing to learn project management software and systems (we'll provide training)
* Problem-solver: practical, solution-focused mindset
* Valid driver's license and happy to travel around greater Hobart
* Professional attitude: you take pride in your work and want to deliver quality
Desirable (but not required—we can develop these skills):
* Experience in project management or coordination
* Familiarity with software like Buildxact, Jonas, Procore, or similar
* Experience with CRM systems
* Trade qualification or building industry qualification
