OverviewGP Liaison Officer – Part time 8 hours per week (2 shifts per week).
Seeking to employ a GP Liaison Officer to develop new and strengthen existing partnerships between our hospitals, visiting medical specialists and the General Practitioner community of the Eastern Suburbs-Sydney.Part of the Healthscope network, you will be an integral member of the Hospital and Business Development Teams, acting as the key point of contact for GPs and other health professionals to drive growth through the promotion of hospital services, navigating access to services and improving communication between our hospitals, the specialists we work with and primary care.
Reporting into the Regional Business Development manager and ultimately the Hospital General Manager, this part time role is pivotal in our 2025 growth strategy and will see you involved in GP education events.This role would suit someone from a GP practice, or medical practice background looking for work life balance during school hours.ResponsibilitiesLeading a culture of excellence in customer service with doctors, patients, internal and external service providersClear, relevant and regular interaction with key General Practices to build relationships and promote hospital clinical service offerings and specialistsMaintaining a comprehensive record of daily activity and progress using Salesforce CRMMonthly activity reporting including measurement against agreed KPIs, linked specifically to GP engagement.
This includes providing insight into the effectiveness of existing referral growth strategies, defining new opportunities and identifying communication gapsWorking with the business development team to align GPs and community relationships with the clinical business plans and service developmentDeveloping targeted referral growth activity plans for newly accredited, growing and established specialistsPlanning and administering the RACGP QA & CPD continuing professional development program for general practice and other healthcare professionals for the regionLiaising with hospital executive and clinical teams, providing stakeholder feedback and highlighting opportunities for service improvementDeveloping a robust regional GP engagement calendar, including accredited education meetings, practice lunches and "meet and greet" networking sessionsSourcing information to assist with the development of regular hospital newsletters as requiredParticipating in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Marketing Strategic PlanActing as a liaison for community organisations as required to promote hospital profileIdentifying and participating in continuous quality improvement opportunities and organisation accreditation requirementsEssential CriteriaWell-developed computer skills, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation abilityPost graduate qualifications in marketing, business, nursing or similar (desirable)Successful sales background, with previous experience working in a similar role in healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical device industry (desirable)Strong customer focussed mindset and displaying a "can do" attitudeFamiliarity with CRM and data analysis toolsAbility to work independently as well as across multidisciplinary work environmentsResults driven with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesArticulate, well-presented and professionalFull Drivers licence and own vehicleHow to know more / ApplyFor a confidential discussion, please contact Robyn Carrington, Business Development Manager via Applications close: 19 th September 2025To Apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form.
