What You Will Be Doing
* Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
* Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample
* Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times
* Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
* Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers
What Type Of Person Will Be Successful
You should be an experienced Pathology Collector or have a Certificate III in Pathology Collection and be looking to embark on a career. A Registered Nurse looking for regular daytime shifts is also suitable. If you have no experience but have a customer service focus and a healthcare background, we can provide fully paid training and mentoring.
Attributes & Skills
* Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy, Certificate III in Pathology Collection, or a healthcare background
* Excellent customer service and communication skills with a high level of empathy
* Organised with strong time management and attention to detail
* Independent, able to work autonomously in a solo clinic
* Valid driver's licence and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
* Working with Children's Check (WWCC) or willing to obtain one
* Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or a valid visa with permission to work Australia
Vaccination Requirements
* Evidence of Hepatitis B vaccination (a vaccine-preventable disease evidence required)
* Other vaccinations may be required depending on location or setting
